It doesn’t really matter anyway since hot dogs are all sandwiches

If anything they count as open-faced sandwiches which are more French if anything.

A HOT DOG IS NOT A SANDWICH!!!! A SANDWICH HAS TWO OR MULTIPLE PIECES OF BREAD HOLDING ASSORTED FILLER MATERIAL IN PLACE. HOT DOGS HAVE ONE CONTINUOUS PIECE OF BREAD!!!! I SWEAR TO CHRIST I’LL BURN THIS MOTHER FUCKER DOWN!!!

By your wrong-ass definition chicken parmigiana is a chicken sandwich with pasta and beef wellington is a sandwich you cook in an oven. Die in a fire.

All of this is correct, and Alexander “100th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race Champion” Rossi agrees.

A HOT DOG IS CLEARLY NOT THE SAME AS A FUCKING SUB SANDWICH.
![]() 06/06/2016 at 16:36 |

You’re right, but not for the right reason... Merriam Webster says a split roll (which a hot dog bun is) is enough contribution for a hot dog to be a sandwich

You keep telling yourself that.

So, a sub-type bread can’t be used to make a “sandwich”? Or is it because of the type of meat used?
if I used sliced bread, and put in a hot dog, would that be a hot dog? or a sandwich by your logic?

Sliced bread with a sausage or link-type meat is just wrong and will not be addressed in this response. Sub-type bread is just a roll that was not cut correctly.
